The working principle of the generator

Mar 13, 2024 Leave a message

The working principle of a generator is actually an electromagnetic magic. Simply put, it is the generation of current through a conductor rotating in a magnetic field. Imagine, a magnetic field is like a mysterious "magic field", and a conductor is like a "magic wand" dancing in this "magic field". When the "magic wand" rotates in the "magic field", it will produce a magical "electric magic", which is electricity!
Specifically, a generator typically consists of a rotor (rotating part) and a stator (fixed part).

There is a winding (coil) on the rotor, and when the rotor rotates in the magnetic field of the stator, the winding will cut the magnetic induction line, thereby generating induced electromotive force. This induced electromotive force is the current we need!

There may be slight differences in the working principles of different types of generators, such as DC generators and AC generators. But overall, it is based on this "electromagnetic magic" to generate electricity.
